Full of Wonder
Last Sunday, I shared a bit about how my young son views everything around him with wonder, and how important it is that we let ourselves experience the presence of God in the world around us in a similar way. This is part of what it means to have “faith like a child.” Take time this weekend to look at the blessings in your life through eyes of wonder, faith, and gratitude. It really does make a difference!
Tomorrow (August 14), we’ll have a chance to share in the beauty of nature while worshiping and fellowshiping together at our Outdoor Service and Picnic. Please join us in the wonderful (full of wonder!) setting of our church grounds. Worship starts at 10AM with special music and more. Bring a comfy chair, and plan on staying for the picnic!
Children, Youth, and Family News
We are very excited to share that our search for a Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries is complete, and our very own Sarah Barone has accepted the call to this position. Sarah and her family (husband Dino, daughters Gianna and Stella) have been part of our Lowhill family since 2018 and Sarah brings a wealth of organizational knowledge and experience to this new position. She has hit the ground running this past week finalizing plans for VBS. We will acknowledge Sarah tomorrow during the service, and anyone who is helping with VBS and/or anyone who is interested in helping with our new Sunday School program (we’re kicking that off on Rally Day) is invited to gather together with her tomorrow during the picnic for updates and more information. Please join us in welcoming Sarah to our staff and please support her important work however possible!

Rally Day and Homecoming Sunday is happening on Sunday, September 11!
On Rally Day, Sunday School starts at 9AM, our worship service begins at 10AM, and we’ll follow worship with a community luncheon!
After a busy summer, this service is a great opportunity for our church family to gather in a big way. We’ll be kicking off our children, youth, and family programming, and we’re also encouraging people of all ages to bring their friends and families! Our goal is to fill the pews on September 11 with a great day of worship, fellowship, and celebration!
We’ll also be welcoming new members on Rally Day. If you are interested in joining the church, please reach out to Pastor Chris!
Confirmation Class continues Sunday mornings at 9:15. Ages 12 and up and welcome and encouraged to join us!
