The Snack Pack Program

The Lowhill Food Pantry has joined hands with the Northwestern Lehigh School District and the Allentown West Rotary Club to provide weekend food supplements to local children. We started with 40 children receiving “Snack Packs” twice a month, but there are least 40 more families that could be included in this program. Nationwide, 1 in 6 children live in households that struggle to put food on the table. The needs are great.

The Snack Pack program is in need of funding from businesses, churches, individuals, and other community groups. The labor to assemble these bags has been provided by volunteers from Rotary, the Northwestern Lehigh Senior High School Interact Club, and the Lowhill Food Pantry. Each Snack Pack costs about $5 to fill. Without the Snack Packs, many of these children would go without eating between Friday and Monday.

Please consider an ongoing monetary donation. One-time gifts are also appreciated.

Please note SNACK PACK PROGRAM on your check, and your donation, of any amount, will go into a separate account at the Lowhill Food Pantry for this vital work.
