Food insecurity is a growing problem across all ages nationwide. 13 million American children live in households that struggle to put food on the table. That’s 1 in every 6 American children.
Responding to these needs, the Lowhill Food Pantry opened its doors in 2009 in Christ’s Church’s historic one-room schoolhouse. Through the work and gifts of Christ’s Church and the wider community, the schoolhouse was renovated to accommodate the growing needs of residents of Lowhill, Lynn, Heidelberg, and Weisenberg Townships in need of food assistance. The pantry is in partnership with area churches, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the community at large.
The Lowhill Food Pantry is managed by an all-volunteer work force and is governed by a steering committee. In order to fulfill our mission, we rely on the generosity of the community for donated food and monetary contributions.
Please contact the Lowhill Food Pantry at 610-298-2054 (landline) or via the Pantry’s cell number, 610-674-2440. Inquires can also be made to firstname.lastname@example.org.
