In the Reformed Protestant tradition, we believe that all Christians are ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our staff and volunteers help lead the organization of Christ’s Church at Lowhill in various ways, including:
Pastor Chris is a 2005 graduate of Yale Divinity School, and has nearly 15 years of experience in various ministry settings and roles. He is thrilled to be serving as Pastor at Christ’s Church at Lowhill. “Lowhill is poised and ready for new ideas, new directions, and new ways of partnering together for the sake of the work God calls us to in our community. We’re a historic church, and we want to lift up the important role our church continues to play in the life of this part of the Lehigh Valley. As a Lehigh Valley native myself, I’m so excited to honor our history even as we look forward to bold new expressions of faithfulness and mission. We hope you’ll join us in this important work. Whether you’re here every week or have been away for a while, we want you to know there’s a place for you at Lowhill here and now. Our children’s and family programs are growing, we’re excited to be doing new things in worship and outreach, and we’re building on solid foundations from the church’s nearly 250-year history. We hope you’ll join us in making Christ’s Church at Lowhill an even better reflection of our community, its needs, and its hopes for the future. That future is starting now!” Pastor Chris says. “You are welcome and wanted here.”
Pastor Chris comes to Lowhill from a variety of professional ministry roles, including youth work, mission work, peace and justice work, arts and worship, and more. He loves bringing those experiences to his work at Lowhill. You can keep up with much of the new life at Lowhill through the church’s Facebook page, and through www.christschurchatlowhill.org, where Pastor Chris is posting regular reflections on contemporary issues as well as news from the church, sermon updates, and more. Even better, join us on Sunday mornings and be part of bringing our church’s historic witness further into the future in new and contemporary ways!
Part of the Lowhill community for over 20 years, Jason is a multi-talented musician and leader. In addition to sharing his gifts on organ, piano, and trumpet, Jason leads the Lowhill Choir, leads the music education for Vacation Bible School, and organizes and produces our popular Lowhill Lights of Wonder Christmas program. He also works with Pastor Chris and the Worship Committee to plan weekly services and special events. In this new season of ministry, Jason’s gifts are helping us move forward by honoring our roots and embracing new styles of music, new forms of liturgy, and new expressions of worship.
